A collection of English translations of speeches delivered in 1942 and 1943 by the Japanese diplomat Saburō Kurusu (来栖三郎, 1886-1954). The titles of the speeches are "The True Facts Leading to the Opening of Hostilities between Japan and America," "A Few Thoughts on the Japanese-American Negotiations Chiefly in Reference to American-British Machinations," "Why should America deny Freedom and Happiness to the Peoples of Asia," "A Warning to Latin America against U.S. Imperialistic Designs," "Enemy War Aims and the New Order," and "Deceptive American White Papers." Published in Tokyo by The Nippon Times Ltd. in 1944; other bibliographic information appears at the end of the book in English and Japanese. The book was found in the personal effects of Sidney Kilburne Gally (1920-2016) of Pasadena, California, who served in the U.S. Navy during the occupation of Japan in 1945 and 1946.
